What Are Some Ways To Not Feel Sad The Day After Christmas?

I hate the thought of the holiday joy coming to an end, the houses no longer decorated with Christmas lights, and knowing that my family won’t all be together as often. What can I do to not feel sad?

You should telephone everyone you know who are friends, relatives and associates. It means a lot to know that someone cares and you can make that difference. Even write a little note, at any time of the year, and cheer up someone who is lonely. Peace!

start making your list for next year to buy for others and look at this whole year and especially tomorrow as another day before christmas comes again. write down all family birthdays and get a calendar. write in days to send cards to tell them you care. (this may get you better presents next year too. just a perk benefit of caring about others all year who normally get mostly bills in the mail. Plan your great adventure that is coming up next. plan the next holiday or just a massive get together with friends to build a snow fort or what ev er-play games. New years????

Take a lesson from the shepherds in the manger. They didn’t have the tinsel, tree, presents, turkey, stuffing, and even had to work on the first Christmas night. Yet, when they went to meet the one who was spoken of by the prophets long ago, the Bible tells us they, “went away rejoicing” instead of suffering from post Christmas depression.

If holiday joy never ended, holidays would never be special.
If houses were always decorated with Christmas lights, they would never be appreciated.
As long as your family keeps in touch, there is no worries.

Give one of your gifts to someone less fortunate (but deserving) than you. That should make you feel good and happy :)

Other than my mom and dad and my best friend who lives with us, the family im closest too which is my sister bro in law and niece and my church family, they are only 5 miles away, but it is still depressing because no more Christmas movies or fun decorations and lights to look at. But what i would do is remember how fun Christmas time is, and play with what you got or wear what you got. IDK what you believe and how you believe, but I always think about and Love God it helps me through every day. And try to make new traditions around other times of the year to be with family you are not normally with like July 4th, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and so on. I hope this helped you. I don’t like the day after Christmas either.
