Do I Have Enough Clothes For College?

I know this sounds like a weird question, but I’ve been homeschooled since 10th grade and I lost most of the clothes that I had in a fire. I start school next fall, and I’m worried that I won’t have enough nice clothes to wear for presentations and things like that.
This is what I own:
3 pairs of jeans
1 pair of shoes
1 nice shirt
7 other shirts

I have a $30 gift card that I can use at fashionbug to buy a nice pair of pants for when the time comes. And I know that I’ll need to buy a pair of dress shoes, seeing that all I own is a pair of tennis shoes and flip flops.
Is one nice outfit enough? Or do I need to spend my christmas money on nice clothes? :-/

There isn’t any reason to need a dressy outfit for college. You will live on jeans, t-shirts and sweatshirts. There isn’t much room in a dorm for clothes anyways. Do you have shorts for warm weather and coats for cold. ( sorry I live in chicago, where weather matters!)

You’re fine. Nobody really cares about what you wear in university unless you are one of those types who goes all out fashion wise. In terms of presentations, you don’t do very many important dressed up presentations in first year unless perhaps you’re in business

You’ll be fine, you’ll just have to do laundry a lot!

You will find that in most colleges students don’t have the time to really care about what they look like. A lot of students will be wearing sweats or jeans. With the amount of clothes you have you should be okay. I do suggest getting another pair of shoes, however, as college parties can be a bit… messy (if you’re into going to college parties).
Get yourself a nice, business-looking outfit for interviews to schools are for jobs later on.
You may be doing laundry a little more than most, but you should be fine.
